The Living History Camp supports the the Regiment off the field of battle. It can also be very hard work. They are often talking to members of the public, explaining what’s happening, talking about the Civil War era and describing what they are doing whilst preparing meals for the troops.
There may also be a barber-surgeon, an armourer, a soldier making musket balls or perhaps a tent with the officers at leisure.
Here also there can be members portraying more civilian roles. For example a blacksmith, a basket maker, a bodger, a potter, a scrivener or possibly a gentleman natural philosopher.
